- June 08/06 - Alright!! Finally, a couple of great new releases!! The new full-length CD from RUM RUNNER is now available and it is AMAZING!! This is a joint co-release between Longshot Music and STUMBLE RECORDS which is a great opportunity for the boys as Stevie Stumble has a great roster and does a great job in Canada... if all goes well, you should see RUM RUNNER out on the road this summer w/ their new Stumble label-mates, THE MAHONES!!
Also new and available is the great new split 7" EP featuring Canada's ALTERNATE ACTION and Australia's MARCHING ORDERS - 2 amazing brickwall Oi! anthems from each band!! This EP comes on both black and yellow vinyl AND an incredible, ultra-limited picture disc version!!
- Apr.22/06 - Well... Once again it's been a long time since an update to the site. My apologies, and thank you in advance for your patience. But there are good reasons for it!! In addition to the unfortunate reality of needing to have a 'real' job to survive, I have been hard at work on some great new releases!!
The SOLDIER DOLLS CD is finally done and I have them in stock! So if you wanna hear a song by them, go to the MP3s section and then if you wanna buy it, check out the Mailorder and order it here on-line!!
Next up is the new split 7" from ALTERNATE ACTION (former LANCASTERS and SUBWAY THUGS frontman Greg's new band) and MARCHING ORDERS from Australia!! This was just sent away to the pressing plant this week, so should be done in about 3-4 weeks!! I'm really excited about this one!! It's gonna be on that awesome, thick, loud vinyl that the RUM RUNNER single was on!!!
And speaking of RUM RUNNER... Their new full-length CD will be coming out soon on STUMBLE RECORDS in Canada, and LONGSHOT MUSIC will be doing their US distribution and some additional promo and distro for it outside of Canada!! So look for that to be coming soon as well...
Otherwise, there are a couple more things planned and coming down the pipe... So keep checking back and as things are confirmed, I'll post about it here!!!
- Feb.4/06 - Finally a long over-due update to the site!
New stuff happening at Longshot is a new full-length CD coming soon from a classic Welsh punk band from the 80's, SOLDIER DOLLS. These guys formed in '82 and recently re-grouped to record a new full-length worth of songs in their heavily American punk/hardcore style that is sure to appeal to all! In addition to this CD they have a couple of other releases coming out on various labels compiling all their old material as well. Check out an MP3 from the CD and some pictures.
Also coming down the pipe from Longshot is a new 7" from Aussie skins MARCHING ORDERS. 2 brand new songs from these guys should be out on vinyl sometime this spring. In the meantime, check out an MP3 and some pictures.

- Nov. 5/05 - Well... time for an update and some news from Longshot... The new CD from THE FALLOUT is now out and available here!!
And the new 7" single from RUM RUNNER has been sent to the plant and will be ready in about 3 weeks! I'm super excited about this release, cus not only are the songs incredible, but I've decided to step it up a notch here at Longshot Music and this is the first single I'm manufacturing w/ Pirates Press - this is the super thick, good sounding shit!! They use DMM (Direct Metal Mastering) for optimum sound quality, they offer tons of cool vinyl colours (this single is gonna be 'blood splatters' on clear vinyl!!) and they print the high-end, full-colour closed jackets for their 7"s!! Needless to say, I am SO excited for this 7" to come out!!
Otherwise... business as usual here. Just trying to confirm some upcoming releases for the new year - and there are some great possibilities out there!! Two recent discoveries I've made are ON THE BRINK from Edmonton and Greg from The Lancasters/Subway Thugs/Glory Stompers has a new band out in Vancouver called ALTERNATE ACTION - this is seriously the best band Greg has ever done!! Check them out!!
- Oct. 1/05 - So far so good w/ trying to keep this site more interesting... 2 new photo galleries and 2 new MP3s for ya'!!
I've added some pictures from an exciting young group from Calgary, AB called THE SKITZOS and another really good band from Winnipeg, MB called THE CRACKDOWN!! I've also added an MP3 from The Crackdown and a new MP3 from my favourite band from Austin, TX, THE BLACKSTAR BRIGADE.
